Eco Fashion Week

Eco Fashion Week opened with a runway show of beautiful reworked, recycled and vintage outfits. The looks were created by the budget conscious fashionista’s go-to store, Value Village. I loved the concept of showcasing vintage and pre-loved clothing with such eclectic outfit combinations hitting the runway.

After the first runway show we headed to the Media Lounge and had a wine break with organic Como Sur pino grigio. Then off to the Designer Showcase to view the goods. While visiting the showcase I found a few accessory designers that were exceptional:

ARM CANDY by SNG Imports. Handbags using all recycled materials. These fab, one of a kind bags are handmade in Mexico with love.

Words cannot do this jewellery justice. The most imaginative materials (dyed pumice stone, shell casings etc.) are used to create these pieces and they are truly works of art. Hand made by artist Natalia. Stunning!

Last but not least, Vancouver handbag designer Fiveleft stood out from the crowd with beautifully textured leather and unique designs.

All in all, a fun and glamorous night. And, a wonderful reminder that it’s easy be stylish and eco-friendly at the same time!

  1. I love reclycled clothes, but must say these aren’t the best looking ones Ive seen so far. But everyone should recycle clothes or have clothes trading parties.:)
